A step-by-step approach to tackling digital preservation. We will begin with an overview of best practices for creating preservation-worthy digital content. Participants will then learn how to do an assessment of their own institutional organization and material, and begin development of an institutional preservation policy. Lastly, we will review the PREMIS metadata model with an eye towards developing collection-level metadata.
