LC experience or existing holdingsJP2_FF files are being used for the lossy-compressed service images of maps in American Memory; JPEG 2000 files to replace the existing MrSID files are being phased in during 2005. Meanwhile, the Library and the National Endowment for the Humanities have specified JP2_J2K_C_NDNP for use as lossy-compressed service images in the National Digital Newspaper Program, which was launched during 2004.
