Lead Partner: Internet Archive

The Internet Archive is a nonprofit organization founded in 1996 to build an Internet library, with the purpose of offering permanent access for researchers, historians, and scholars to historical collections that exist in digital format. IA is working with the Library of Congress to build thematic and event-based collections of Web-based content and also to develop and extend tools and services for stewardship of digital content.

Objectives

  • Select, capture, and provide access to defined collections of Web-based content
  • Copy, transfer, and store Library-related content
  • Work with NDIIPP partners and other interested parties on tools and services for digital stewardship
