Kristine Fallon
Kristine K. Fallon, FAIA, joined the Chicago office of SOM in 1977 and contributed to the introduction of computer graphics to SOM architects nationwide. She began participating in architecture/ engineering/ construction (AEC) data exchange standards initiatives in the 1980’s (IGES, PDES/STEP, IFC, COBie). She was principal investigator for the Art Institute of Chicago’s study, Collecting, Archiving, and Exhibiting Digital Design Data and also served as an advisor to the MIT FAÇADE study.
I am interested in the possibility of leveraging the information model that is inherent in international standards such as ISO 16739 (IFC) to support collection and archiving of a comprehensive set of information about digital designs.
