March 26, 2010 --The National Digital Information Infrastructure and Preservation Program sponsored a web conference about recent developments with the Chronopolis Project.
Presenters talked about preservation tools and services, including the Audit Control Environment integrity. There was also discussion about updates to the project's technical infrastructure and plans to join with DuraCloud preservation cloud services.
The Chronopolis team announced an intent to develop the project as a paid service. They have calculated a dollar cost per terabyte of data under stewardship and hope to recruit new participants to support ongoing project sustainability.
